Wax and Paper Workshop || Michelle Belto

This is about a lot more than encaustic painting and almost falls within the realms of decorative art. The subtitle (as they so often do) sums it up: Techniques for combining encaustic paint and handmade paper.

This sounds like a bold, indeed an innovative, idea until you get to the gallery at the end and find the work of eight different artists. Clearly this thing has traction!

All I can really tell you is that the book is nicely produced and has clear illustrations and demonstrations. If the technique appeals to you, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.
