This is an interesting look at a variety of techniques and approaches and covers topics such as layering, lifting-out, wet-in-wet and the use of resists as well as working with colour combinations and focal points.
The overall effect is a bit of a mish-mash and I think it’s something you’re either going to love or hate. There’s nothing wrong with the quality of the artwork and there are some very original ideas here, too. It’s worth noting that the author’s subjects are mostly flowers, but you’ll spot that as I think this is a book you absolutely have to see for yourself.
If you like it, you’ll take it straight to the till, delighted with the treasure trove it contains and the sense of lucky dip it engenders.
